Ky-Mani Marley was an established Reggae Singer for many years. Born in Falmouth Jamaica, he was one of the most wealthy and most popular. In the classic cult movie Shottas the actor starred alongside Wyclef. Ky-Mani signed to Shang Records and recorded his debut album in 1996, Like Father Like Son. This was followed by several singles like Dear Dad, which topped British Reggae Charts. Who The Cap was a perfect fit (remix) as well as Sensimelia. They all helped to establish Ky-Mani's status as a new reggae musician. Ky-Mani performed with Praswell from Fugees for Avenue in 1997. Marley did a performance in the Cameo Theatre that was broadcasted live throughout 36 nations. Marley's name was the subject of a bidding war. In 1997, he signed with Gee Street/V2 Records. He was there to finish a collaboration with P.M. Dawn performed the song Gotta Movin' on Up in the hit song.
